Gardening Rota
What is it?
The school garden is in a corner of the school grounds. There are a number of raised beds in which the children grow vegetables, fruit and flowers. Children and parent helpers are required to plan and source what to grow on an annual basis. The children are taken out in groups of up to 6.
How often will I be involved?
The rota runs one morning a week from April till October and two parent helpers are needed for each session. Depending on the number of volunteers for the rota, you may be involved every two weeks.
How long does it last?
It lasts a whole morning so from 9am until 12.30pm
Is a PVG assessment required?
Yes.
