Meetings

Parent Council meetings are held at least once each term in the school. The meetings normally start around 6.30pm and finish by 8pm.  All parents can come along to meetings to see what is going on in a very informal context without having to commit to carrying out any activities.  If parents aren’t free for the whole meeting then there is no problem with leaving early.  Similarly, there is no need to attend every meeting.  Parents can, if they want, volunteer to join the Parent Council committee and help with the fundraising activities that form a large part of the council’s work.  Finally, parents can volunteer to be a year representative and become the focal point for queries from other parents in their child’s year.  No PVG assessment from Disclosure Scotland is needed for this.
